Oil and Holy Spirit

This weekend’s message is titled, “Oil Change” and it pertains to the Holy Spirit in our lives.  In my research, I came across this idea of oil representing the Holy Spirit.  Of course we have all heard that, but this is a little deeper/different perspective.  Let me know your thoughts.

My seat for “sermon prep”

I am currently heading to preach in SanAntonio and blogging with my cell phone.  Please excuse the grammatical errors.

I am sitting in the very back of the van because of van is packed with our new foster kids. It is cramped, my back is hurting, the AC is designed to cool back here. It’s hot.

I was worried that my sermon would suffer because my normal routine has been severely trashed.  However, the more I think about it, this could be the best sermon prep.  Sacrificing yourself for others seems like the position you want to be in before preaching.  I will let you know how it goes…
