How We Plan a Year (weekend services)

We use Google Docs and map out the year.  This plan usually beings in Nov of the previous year.  Spiritually, we pray and fast to seek God’s leading.  Practically, sermon series, holidays, guest speakers, vacation times help shape our plan.  We know which weekends are traditionally ‘low attendance’ weekends and we know others that are usually big attendance.  That is done by tracking attendance and financial giving weekly.  We use those to our advantage and plan accordingly.

There are weeks that we call ‘stand alones’ these are sermons that are not a part of a series.  We often change the schedule in the middle of the year when things flow differently.  However, we try to nail down as many things as possible early on. This is a working document that our entire staff has access to and can make suggestions.
