Oil and Holy Spirit

This weekend’s message is titled, “Oil Change” and it pertains to the Holy Spirit in our lives.  In my research, I came across this idea of oil representing the Holy Spirit.  Of course we have all heard that, but this is a little deeper/different perspective.  Let me know your thoughts.

Habitat For Humanity is in full swing in San Marcos.  Here is a letter from one of the organizers.  It is located on Mill Street in San Marcos.

We had a great work day last Saturday!
We had about 37 volunteers show up.  I think that is the most we have ever had at one time.  Some of our regular folks that have been there over the last 3 years had a chance to take a break and rest up for the next time.
The food was provided by the Bluebonnet Lion’s Club, Bonnie and her Lion’s did a great job and the food was Great!
River Stone Church and Luke Hensleigh accounted for about 25 of those new volunteers. Thanks Luke and River Stone, hope to see you back very often.
We installed the windows and  most of the hardy plank on the two long sides . Also finished up some blocking and bracing on the inside.
The house is coming along very well .
We will be working this Saturday , September 26th. We will start about 8:00 AM . We will be working on finishing the siding and trim the windows. We should get the doors and have them set for the weekend.
Please reply to this e-mail if you are coming so we can get numbers for the food and drinks.
Thanks
Glenn

The ACLU has challenged San Marcos City Council’s right to have an invocation at each council meeting.  They have officially sent a letter to city officials.

Please go to the SAN MARCOS MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION website and voice your opinion of what direction we should take.  You will also be able to download the letter from ACLU on our website.
