Saturday was so cool.
What did you think of Saturday? It was our first one, so we aren’t sure what the long term affects will be, but it kicked off with a bang. We had around 150 people worship with us, and God was in the house!
The biggest question I have is for those of you that went on Saturday and did NOT come on Sunday. How did that feel? Was it weird on Sun morning?

you tell me…
I hear radio commercials for match.com. They are an online dating service that hopes to link up people from all over the country. Their tag line is interesting.
It says, “Go ahead. It’s okay to look.”
Does that send a connotation to married folks?
Good Friday to you all. I will see many of you tomorrow for our first ever Saturday service.

Miracle
Check out this report from Buffalo, NY. It is quoted from SI.com.
Kevin plays for the Buffalo Bills and is originally from Port Arthur, TX. Sunday, during the game he suffered a major injury and doctors said there was basically no hope for a normal life.
“BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Kevin Everett voluntarily moved his arms and legs on Tuesday when partially awakened, prompting a neurosurgeon to say the Buffalo Bills’ tight end would walk again — contrary to the grim prognosis given a day before.
“Based on our experience, the fact that he’s moving so well, so early after such a catastrophic injury means he will walk again,” said Dr. Barth Green, chairman of the department of neurological surgery at the University of Miami school of medicine.
“It’s totally spectacular, totally unexpected,” Green told The Associated Press by telephone from Miami.”
Prayer was made. God said, “yes, now is the time.”

My Bully Pulpit
All day Tuesday on the radio, people were talking of September 11, 2001 and the last 6 years. They were asking all these people on the street what they thought of US and if we were safer or in more danger. They were asking them if Iraq had anything to do with the war on terror or if it was just Bush’s personal war.
With every interview I heard, I got sicker and sicker. Why do I care what someone on the street in New York or Georgia has to believe about our troops fighting? They know maybe 20% of the facts. What kind of rational idea can be presented from this limited amount of knowledge? When discussing this topic, we shouldn’t operate on faith; we should operate on fact. It is not what you feel or who you like in office that matters. The problem is that the majority of Americans are vocally opinionated, yet do NOT vote. Lean a certain way and then go vote!
Go comment on yesterday. It is a lot better discussion. I have good news for tomorrow also. God is moving in Buffalo!

My Favorite Thing
Several days ago we blogged about some of our favorite things. Natural activities that are fun, enjoyable, and exhilerating.
However, my favorite thing of this world is Spiritual Prayer. When I talk to God in a language that I do not understand with my mind, but my spirit cries, “YES, I understand.” Speaking in tongues is clearly described in the New Testament books of Acts and Corinthians. These prayer sessions refresh my spirit and body. I long for the moments where worship and everyday life join.
One of my favorite moments of worship is NOT at church, but in my house while doing laundry. Yes, I do laundry sometimes. This time of prayer is so special because I don’t want anything FROM God. I just want to sing worship songs TO Him. When I whisper these melodies from a tender heart, a thunder begins to roll in my inner most being.
God’s river begins to fill the atmosphere with peace, love, joy, gentleness, kindness. My english is translated into a language that I have never learned yet speak fluently. No matter what status my life, bank account, or relationships are in, I am at peace. God is in control.
Come with us into this heavenly realm. Begin to sing, ask God to fill you with His presence. Then when He visits you, let Him in. Release your control and let God return you to His secret place. The original Garden of Eden.
