This past weekend’s thoughts
We had a great weekend at PromiseLand San Marcos.
- We had wonderful crowd attendance (especially for a Summer wknd with no ‘special’ guest or activity planned). It is looking like we need to add a morning service and discuss how that will affect ‘The Walk” on Sunday night. The bottomline on growth is that Sunday morning is full and Sunday night is not a viable option for most people to attend on a regular basis. On the other hand, Sunday night is a great service and it is slowly growing with people that can’t attend on Sunday morning due to work or other scheduling conflicts. Read the rest of this entry

My seat for “sermon prep”

I am currently heading to preach in SanAntonio and blogging with my cell phone. Please excuse the grammatical errors.
I am sitting in the very back of the van because of van is packed with our new foster kids. It is cramped, my back is hurting, the AC is designed to cool back here. It’s hot.
I was worried that my sermon would suffer because my normal routine has been severely trashed. However, the more I think about it, this could be the best sermon prep. Sacrificing yourself for others seems like the position you want to be in before preaching. I will let you know how it goes…
