Change

PromiseLand San Marcos is in a season of change.  What was it like on this weekend to enter the sanctuary and find that your regular seat was moved?  Moving all the seats in the sanctuary was just a glimpse of the changes that are happening here at PSM.  Be on your toes. Get ready for movement.

Contentment means being okay with change.  Is that a difficult one for you?

  1. Well, I looked up the word contentment and found the dictionary said it was: “a feeling of calm satisfaction”. Therefore, to have a calm satisfaction in the midst of change, there has to be an underlying trust and confidence that those responsible for the change will always protect you and your interest from disaster. Contentment is lacking in America today because the politicians seem to represent the special interest over the average citizen, yet they constantly propose change. On the other hand, contentment at PSM is easy because those guiding the ship are dedicated to our best interest and are directly accountable to the members. By the way, I never even noticed the seats were changed.

  2. Wow, when did the chairs get moved? I was at Saturday church. I didn’t notice that the chairs had been moved. I guess I’m pretty content…well, with seating arrangements anyway.

i didn’t notice at first but then pastor made me aware of the change. I knew it was to keep us on our toes. Change is good. We always need to be prepared for anything new and different.

  4. Change is not always a bad thing. Not everyone gets a warm fuzzy feeling about it, but they can and do adjust. Change means things are moving. I for one love the idea that my church is moving and growing. I also didnt notice the chairs had been moved until Pastor said something about it last night. I, like cbgrace ,must be pretty content with the seating arrangements lol.

  5. I noticed the seats when I walked into the sanctuary. Seating change is not a problem for me. Some change I must adjust to more slowly. 🙂

  6. I got to visit PromiseLand on Sunday. Since the move to San Antonio, we don’t get to go as often. I walked in and thought wow! the seats are different. I am excited to read the blogs about the changes but I have to admit even after being gone for some time, I felt as if I never left. So yes, I love the new changes but I hope some things never do. Thanks for the message this weekend Pastor … God works amazingly through you. Thanks for being obedient.

  7. Kathy, I too noticed the minute I walked into the sanctuary. And i like the new arrangement as I also heard many others do to. Easier to get down the isles.
Looks bigger. Ive made many changes in my life and it ain`t killed me yet.
So as they say: if you can`t take the heat ….get out of the kitchen.
