you tell me…
I hear radio commercials for match.com. They are an online dating service that hopes to link up people from all over the country. Their tag line is interesting.
It says, “Go ahead. It’s okay to look.”
Does that send a connotation to married folks?
Good Friday to you all. I will see many of you tomorrow for our first ever Saturday service.

My Bully Pulpit
All day Tuesday on the radio, people were talking of September 11, 2001 and the last 6 years. They were asking all these people on the street what they thought of US and if we were safer or in more danger. They were asking them if Iraq had anything to do with the war on terror or if it was just Bush’s personal war.
With every interview I heard, I got sicker and sicker. Why do I care what someone on the street in New York or Georgia has to believe about our troops fighting? They know maybe 20% of the facts. What kind of rational idea can be presented from this limited amount of knowledge? When discussing this topic, we shouldn’t operate on faith; we should operate on fact. It is not what you feel or who you like in office that matters. The problem is that the majority of Americans are vocally opinionated, yet do NOT vote. Lean a certain way and then go vote!
Go comment on yesterday. It is a lot better discussion. I have good news for tomorrow also. God is moving in Buffalo!

my favorite things
While we are here on the earth and not enjoying heaven, you might as well have some favorite things. Things that you take pleasure in and things that make you happy.
Home-made ice-cream (the old recipe), Murrell Ewing on my ipod, laughing with Erica, driving home after church on Sunday all by myself with the radio off, kissing my kids, a cell phone that does everything, a suit with no tie, sunset on a lake with fishing pole in my hand (did that on sunday), watching a NFL game in the snow, skiing in knee-deep powder down a double black diamond, hanging out with the men of promiseland.
How about you?
