Blog stats
I have many people find my blog everyday because of specific topics they are looking for. They search those topics in google and then I show up around the top because there are very few other sites out there that discuss the same topic. Here are the top 10 search terms people used and how many times that term has brought someone to my blog.

Books I’ve Read Lately
Here are the books I have read lately that I would recommend to pastors. Just because I suggest book doesn’t mean that I agree with it all or even a majority of it. However, they helped shape my direction and I think they are relevant to ministry today.
- When God is First | Mike Hayes
- Organic Church | Neil Cole
- Servolution | Dino Rizzo
- Silent No More | Rod Parsley
- Revolution in World Missions | KP Yohannan
- Made to Stick | Dan and Chip Heath
- Leadership Transitions for Growth | Michael Fletcher
- Seven Practices of Effective Ministry | Andy Stanley
- Studies in Doctrine | Alister McGrath (in the middle of it)
- Natural Church Development | Christian Schwartz
- The Life Giving Church | Ted Haggard (written many years ago)
Here are the other books I’ve read. Same disclaimer as above…
- Radical | David Platt
- Crazy Love | Francis Chan
- The Broken American Male and How to Fix Him | Rabbi Shmuley Boteach
- 25 Ways to Win With People | John Maxwell
- Anything from Joel Rosenburg (I’ve read all his fiction and non-fiction) the latest was The Twelfth Imam
- The Scarlett Letter | Nathaniel Hawthorne (in the middle of it)
- Loving Your Kids on Purpose | Danny Silk (in the middle of it)
I have focused on the Old Testament “Prophets” this year.
Any books you recommend??

NEW ADDITION to PSM
We got ourselves a little gameroom! Thanks to the Carpenters for donating a SWEET pool table! We also set up our ping pong and fussball tables and now there is a nice little rec/game room for youth and STAFF. This afternoon some of the guys let off some steam and Michael Higgins actually broke a sweat playing ping pong. (yes, he beat me)
Dove Awards for Phillips Craig and Dean??
Phillips, Craig, and Dean (PCD) have been singing together since 1991. 19 years. When you go back and look at their first album cover, you will laugh out loud at their clothes. However, unlike many artists, they have stayed relevant through the years. They have sold literally millions of records. They have had over 18 #1 songs. Their last release “Revelation Song” was number one for 13 weeks.
Blog Drought
It seems like with Facebook, Twitter, and other internet features that blogging is on the endangered species list. Compared to the other types of internet interaction, blogs are long, cumbersome, and not very quick. Even if written once a day, that blog content is not near as entertaining to the younger generations as status updates and the daily pictures that are posted on social networking sites.
Personally, I stopped writing daily blogs because I started working on a book. However, I hit a major writer’s block and haven’t written in a long time. I need some encouragement there. Hits on my blog went from around 200 per day, down to around 30 per day because of all of these factors. I will keep you all posted with some blogs this week to see what happens. Maybe it will make a comeback!
