Your thoughts on this quote

I am not sure who wrote this originally, but I found it in a 1974 sermon from Dr. WA Criswell.

What are your thoughts on it?

“The Father is life transcendent above all; the Son is life imminent, through all; and the Holy Spirit is life individualized, in us all”

Here are some of my thoughts.  How do you agree or disagree?

Father/Transcendent-  going beyond ordinary limits; surpassing; exceeding. superior or supreme.  – The fact that God is supreme and surpassing all other power or ability or love.

Son/Imminent-  likely to occur at any moment; impending: projecting or leaning forward; overhanging.- The fact that God is always available, ready, equipped to act on our behalf.

Holy Spirit/Individualized – to make individual or distinctive; give an individual or distinctive character to.  The fact that God is personal and loves us each in a specific way.

  1. I realize that each of these points are very simple and concise and each of them could have a dissertation written on them. So, please excuse the brevity of them. It was on purpose to keep it simple.

  2. I think this author was very astute and was thinking with the mind of Christ.

I want to hear from you! Let's hear it....ready....GO!!!
