what did I tell you…

Yesterday, I told you about “Shout to the Lord”

I heard on the radio this morning that American Idol singers sang “Shout to the Lord” this week.  (i don’t watch the show this year).

I went online and sure enough.  Check it out!

Notice how the Spirit flows through anyone when singing. The message comes through.

  1. Wow, I am delightfully surprised!

    On the subject of worship music…….Have you all heard Jeremy Riddle’s CD Full Attention? Joshua and I love it so much. The CD has such a sweet sincerity to it. If we could, we’d buy it for everyone 🙂

  2. WOW!!! and again—– BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

    Sorry to say that I am addicted to American Idol this year. Rich and I were both watching it when they sang Shout to the Lord, it was amazing. Over 30 million people watch the show every week. Think of how many could have been affected by the songs message. God will use all different types of avenues to reach the lost.

  4. Did you notice that they took “Jesus” out of the song?

  5. I don’t find any words missing. Where was Jesus’ name in this song??

  6. Well casey you are right . no Jesus
    They say shepherd,lord,savior ,king,comforter,shelter and rescure. Wonder why they did not say Jesus, the most precious name of them all.
    The peace and quietness in me comes from no other name but Jesus.!

  7. I googled the words to the song from the one who wrote it and First verse goes.. My Jesus my savior Lord there is none like you ect ect

  8. Authur of the song is Darlene Zscheck

  9. My Jesus, My Savior,
    Lord, there is none like You;
    All of my days
    I want to praise
    the wonders of Your mighty love.

    My comfort, my shelter,
    Tower of refuge and strength;
    let every breath, all that I am
    never cease to worship You.

    Shout to the Lord, all the earth,
    let us sing
    power and majesty, praise to the King;
    mountains bow down and the seas will roar
    at the sound of Your name.
    I sing for joy at the work of Your hands,
    forever I’ll love You, forever I’ll stand,
    nothing compares to the promise I have in You.

  10. they certainly left out the name jesus.awesome song.i love it where it says “mountains bow down and the sea will roar at the sound of your voice.thats powerful.

  11. Aman Woody…It is an awesome song.

  12. Well, ya’ll are right for sure. Thanks for looking it up, Wynnel. I had forgotten all the words. Can’t leave Jesus out. 🙂

  13. Aman My sisiter, Love you

  14. Dennis said this is “Jesus Nuetral” now the muslims can sing it, the Jehovah’s witness’ can sing it…etc.

  15. Don’t get too worked up everyone.
    Actually, they sang it twice. the second night the version had Jesus in it. The first night had shepard.
    see the second version here…

  16. When the tide is running the other way it is amazing to have someone step up and sing the song in any form. To me, this is another cultural hero.

  17. Thanks Pastor …. JESUS CHRIST my savior all the way.

  18. Moving and powerful is worship to the king

I want to hear from you! Let's hear it....ready....GO!!!
