Hillsong – Saviour King
Hillsong is an incredible church in Australia. I had the privilege of seeing their pastor in Dallas a couple of months ago. Their story is a wonderful testimony of God moving in a local church. Their music is sung literally around the world. “Shout to the Lord” is one of the most popular worship songs of our generation.
Their CD titled, “Saviour King”, is my favorite worship CD of all time. It ushers me into the presence of God when the first note is sounded. My favorite song on the CD right now (it fluctuates) is Hosanna. Look at the bridge of the song:
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom’s cause
As I walk from earth into eternity
The line “Break my heart for what breaks yours” rips me up every time I hear it. This is such a deep statement and prayer. Could we really get to this point? Yes. Let’s go.

Several days ago I heard a song (I never identified who it was – although I thought it sounded like something from the International House of Prayer -IHOP). The lyrics were “I will pray what You pray, I will do what You do”. Jesus said that He only did what He saw His father doing…that’s what I want for my life, to do those things, pray those thing that Jesus does and prays. It is tuning into the Holy Spirit and following Him.
What a wonderful message in that song. Now I have to go get the cd so I can listen to the whole thing.

Hillsong is AMAZING! My friend, Audra, will be moving there for the fall semester to attend their school!
