Everything is for God
Why does God forgive your sins?
because You deserve it? No.
because He is a good God? No.
because He loves you? No.
because He gets glory from it? Yes.
Isaiah 43:25 “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”
Even forgiveness is not about ‘you’. It is about God. He gets the benefit of your purity. He gets your communion with Him. He loves being with you that much. That makes me love Him even more.

I needed that. What a comforting epiphany.
I agree Pastor, for as God forgives us we learn to forgive others and in that God recieves the Glory
Because God is perfection, and humanity so prone to imperfection, our very existence mars the palette from which He paints on the canvas of life. That He would forgive us time after time does indeed reveal the depth of His love for us
That is beautiful!!!! Thank you!!!!
Great new blog picture, by the way!!
Soft towels in homes where I live have always been an endangered species of sorts. I have a passion for the combustion engine. More so, for the designs of metal that contain them. Many a towel has gone missing, for the sake of blotting up an oil drip, or polishing a crevice of a body line. I have often been asked what it is that irks me so, about a drip of oil beneath a car, or tarnish on polished metal. My reply has often been, “it’s just not right, I don’t want to see it that way”.
I think on a greater scale, the same holds true for God. His passion is communion with us. His creation. In His image we are created. Perfect, lacking nothing. Fearfully and wonderfully made! To behold any less than this by our Father, is “just not right”. Surely, all Glory and Honor is His, and shall always be, forever more.
It’s awesome to know that everything God did is because he first loved us.
so that he would get the glory in all that we do.
Praise God I was created for his purpose and not my own.
There was this he/she/it who came in to service all dressed up and looking nice. They sat down near to me in church. In just a few seconds I started smelling something aweful! They coughted and sputtered and then more aroma fumigated the row of chairs. It was a person bound by nicotine and must of had a smoke right before church. It was really bad…. and I started to move. JUST as I was about to complete my thoughts of disgust, the Lord SPOKE and said….”Sometimes your transgressions smell just like that when YOU show up to church.” OUCH!!!
It made me think that God get’s tire of having to clean me up so I smell good and it doesn’t make HIM sick to his stomach.
I want to come to church not just smelling great… but with a box of frankensence so I have an offering too!
Great message pastor.
