Being Bold in the Holy Ghost

Of the 3 points from this weekend’s Sermon, “Being Bold in the Holy” is most relative and practical to me at this point of my life. Allowing God’s Holy Presence to affect/effect everything. Allowing me to display boldness. Not boldness for “show-off” purposes, but boldness to get His job done.

For those of you that weren’t at the 11am service, after the message we had a time of prayer. Then, I technically dismissed the crowd. 3 people left. The others stayed and continued to worship. A lady came and knelt at the altar. God began to tell me that someone was going to be physically healed. Then the words “healing in the back” came to my mind so…I said them. I went to pray for the lady and she said she had come to the front to have her back prayed for. At that point, we followed James 5:14 and called the elders, anointed her with oil and proclaimed her healing.

What does being bold mean? Coming to the altar when you feel the need. Speaking a prophetic word when you hear a whisper of it. Hugging a neck. Praying for a co-worker. Speaking in a language that you have never learned.

Oh…that is just the beginning.

Good Friday to You…

I love Fridays as I am sure many of you do to.  However, Friday for me is like Tuesday is for you.  Friday is the day before the 2 most important days of my week.  Go figure how that applies to you…

Anyway, we are doing well here on the 10 acres.  We are narrowing in on our final Playground system.  The Children’s Ministry is about to remodel several of their rooms.  We have a guest worship leader this weekend: Matt Brock (no relation to Steve).  I am having the Journey Bible Study professionally produced.  It will be made available to other churches and individuals to complete.

We have had some great reports from PromiseGroup this week.  I am excited about the Sinor’s group!  We are about to organize our PromiseGroup calendar into Trimesters.  Three 16 week sessions per year with 2 week breaks in between.  Each Trimester will offer our regular groups plus specialty groups as well.  These groups will be for men, women, and several other interests.  This will allow people to be a little more ‘fluid’ in their participation.

Don’t forget our 5th Birthday Celebration will be June 6,7,8th!  Make plans to be here.  You won’t want to miss this weekend.
