i busted for the first time
I fell big time today. It wasn’t on the black-diamond, trees run.
It was on the sidewalk in front starbucks. we all had just unloaded from the shuttle. I was walking toward the lift and slipped on a piece of ice and busted all the way! I had to just get up and keep walking. Thankfully, my pride was hurt but my body wasn’t.
It is so nice here. It snows at night and is sunny during day. I just took this picture outside our motel room. Nice Icicles, huh? It was taken with my phone, so it is hazy looking. It looks like it was taken in 1952.

We are happy
We flew out after the 11am service on Sunday. We had a direct flight to Denver on SWA. We landed and a sweet young lady picked us up and took us the 1.5 hour drive up the mountain. The trip was snowy and cold! Erica was nervous, but our driver was great.
Instead of checking into our hotel, we went straight to church Fraser Valley Baptist Church. This was Rowena Flemming’s church. We had a great time there! I almost went to sleep a couple of times. Not because it was boring, but because I was a little weary from travel and the high altitude.
We woke up today and the sun was shining, it was 25 degrees outside, and there was about a foot of fresh snow on the ground. For those of you that are not skiers…those are excellent conditions!! We took several pictures, but we forgot our cable that connects the camera to the computer. Does anyone know a way around that? how can you get pics to the computer without the cable?
The pictures here are from my phone (bad color and clarity)

These are my fresh tracks!! wish you were here!
What is after receiving?
To Whom much is given, much is required. Luke 12:48
What is our response to blessing and gifts? I believe our resources are provided for God’s glory. So, how could a Seiko watch and 3 John Wayne DVDs be used for God’s glory?
1. I receive the love from the gift given. When my wife gives me a gift, it is the love that produced the giving that must be passed on and used. (not necessarily the gift itself.)
2. The gift itself must be used for God’s glory. Seiko watch helps me keep sermons short. A John Wayne DVD gives me rest from my hectic schedule. Or it could teach me how to be a rough and tough pastor.
3. The popular “regift”. Take the gift and literally pass it on to someone else. (that doesn’t apply to my situation)
This blog is obviously a blend of serious and tongue-in-cheek humor. Those who don’t know me well will have a hard time deciphering between the two. I don’t want to belittle the point. I do believe in the passage and want to give back to God all that He has given unto me.
