Saturday was…
Check out what Casey had to say…
So what happened? Well, first I would like to say, I want to attend a church that allows God to be God. Structure is good; a time frame and a plan are good but when God begins to move, I want to follow. So the worship pastor began singing a song based on Isaiah 6: 1-8 (Hey, look it up! ). The words closely matched the text. The course was “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!”. It was just pure worship for lack of a better description. It was that moment when worship isn’t about us saying anything about us…only about Him. I love songs like “I am a friend of God”, but that is making it about me, not Him. So we were enjoying this moment of declaring God’s holiness. Pastor Robin invited anyone who wanted to know God in a new way to come to the front. When everyone had made their way down we had a time of repentance (when anyone comes into the presences of a Holy God, they must realize they are NOT holy – that is why Isaiah said “Woe is me, for I am a man of unclean lips” – he recognized his lack of holiness). Then we paired off and began declaring who God is. Yes, we declared aloud who God is. Everyone had something different to say. Maybe you had to be there. Pastor Robin then preached from Isaiah 6 – he told us that he had not shared with Jacob (worship pastor) what he was planning on preaching about…the song that lead to our spontaneous worship was not “planned” to coordinate with the message, rather it was all coordinated by the Holy Spirit. Pastor Robin preached one of the best sermons I have ever heard him preach – it wasn’t one of those take note, five point messages. (So if you weren’t there then you may want to get the DVD).
I’m not sure how the Sunday services went but Saturday was just what we needed…a good dose of pure worship.

Eve of a new year
I am at risk of losing you all forever in the blogging world. Constant new blogs produce constant traffic to the blog site. I usually blog daily (tues-fri). However, stinky blogs just for the sake of having a new blog might be just as worse. So, in that thought I might not be around too much the next couple of days.
Our offices are closed during Christmas week, so we are all getting our work done for 2 weeks.
I will blog again soon.
Feliz Navidad!

Let’s Do this Together
I want to test something out. It has the potential to be one of the greatest things we have done or one of the worst.
Let’s plan our New Years Day party together, right here on the blog.
We have several things nailed down already, but we could use some input on some details.
Here is what we have so far:
Place: Genesis Ranch (Dan and Judy’s Place) near Fischer, TX –
Time: 2pm-6pm
Date: January 1
Details: We will all bring food, drinks, and desserts. We will have activities like football, basketball, volleyball, campfire/marshmallows, fireworks, card games, ping pong, billards, disc golf, and ropes course. (sounds like fun doesn’t it)
How do we organize who brings what (food)? How do we promote to the church? What part(s) are we missing?
I will be monitoring the comments and administrating. Keep checking my comments for final directions.

Christmas Banquet
Last night, we had our annual Christmas Banquet. After every banquet, I leave feeling like I just ate delicious Christmas dinner for the soul. The obvious observation is the health of our church. We love God and we love each other. We love to laugh and have fun.
Erica and I were so pleased and honored by our trip (that was given as a gift by our church family). I am so blessed to be surrounded by you.
