– Last Sunday/September 14th

Here I am at PromiseLand West last Sunday. We had a great time with them. I love Pastor Randy Phillips and the congregation over on the west side!

West Virginia
I am heading to the airport. I am flying to West Virginia to meet with Pastor Wright from Maranatha. This is the church that the Armstrongs and all those other WV folks came from.
I will be back this weekend!
love you.

Testimony Service on the blog!
Pastor Robin,
Hello, I am Pam Esparza, my husband, Vic and I started attending Promiseland during the summer and have been so blessed by the church. My husband retired from the Air Force in Mar. 08. and through experience in our Air Force travels — a good church is hard to find. Promiseland was the 2nd church we visited after moving to Kyle, so praise God we did not have to search forever to find it.
My other praise report is: this months 1st Wednesday night service, you had asked those with a need to come forward for prayer and go through the prayer line. Well, my husband and I are looking for jobs, so that was my first need, the second need was a healing, I had injured my arm, while repairing our rent house in Abilene, about 10 days before. I had been living on high doses of Ibuprofen for the pain and avoiding the Doctor. I decided I would stop taking the Ibuprofen and within a couple of days I was again feeling a lot of pain from my elbow to my finger tips. Infact, that Wednesday night while sitting in church I was fighting back the tears from the pain. But… Praise God!! immediately after going through the prayer line the pain was totally gone! Whatever the injury was–God completely healed it. Praise God! He’s Awesome!
God Bless you and your family!
We missed you this morning!
Sincerely,
Pam Esparza
IKE is coming our way
Several years ago, hurricane Rita was headed our way and we all prepared. In the end, all we got was some drizzling rain. Now, ‘Ike’ is making his move toward the Texas coast. If this hurricane hits around Corpus Christi, and then turns north, we wil be in the path. This could mean thousands of evacuees would be entering San Marcos.
How can our church be ready to assist in this situation? Give us ideas.
We are creating a webpage on our church site that will address these issues and keep everyone informed on a regular basis.
Thanks for your help.
