More Love to Give

Ministry is a unique job. The blessings are beyond measure, but the challenges and inconveniences are plentiful as well. One of the frustrating things about ministry is never having a weekend. We’re not really complaining about it because it is the life we have chosen and continue to feel called to, but full time ministry usually means not spending holidays with your extended family.  While folks that work a M-F have the freedom to take two days off in a row, it is rarely an option for those who work on Sundays.  If our family doesn’t come to see us at those times, we don’t get to see them.  To make matters more complicated, much of our family is involved in church music on a weekly basis.  It’s strange that we’re a family of musicians (on both sides of the family) who never play together.
