PromiseLand San Marcos scored again. Rowena has been a part of our church for several years. Now, we are very excited about her leading our Children’s ministry.  To say that she has worldwide experience is to say the least…

Rowena started full time ministry with children at age 18, three years after becoming a Christian.  She was an instructor at a Christian Horse Ranch in Auckland, New Zealand.  During her three years working for ‘Sonshine Ranch’ Rowena, among other things, led an ongoing discipleship group for around 30 girls who had become Christians through the programs they ran at the camp.

At age 21 Rowena traveled to Europe to study Children’s Evangelism at the Leadership Training Institute in Kiltzimmer, Switzerland.  After completing the course she returned to Sonshine Ranch as a camp speaker and head of the leadership training program for the Ranch.  Rowena also became a part time youth pastor for her local church and ran a weekly sports/games themed bible study for unchurched kids in her area.

At age 25 she decided to further her education and attended Lifeway College and graduated with a degree in Adult and Child Psychology.  In 2000 Rowena moved to Colorado and became an active member of her local church becoming a part of the Sunday morning teaching team and involved in summer camps at the local Christian Camp.  In 2005 she moved to Louisiana and became the Marketing Director of GodChasers Network.

After marrying Harry Fleming in 2006 they both moved to Tennessee and then a year later onto Texas to help start a new residential ministry for at-risk-youth in Canyon Lake.  Rowena is now a wonderful mother of two beautiful kids!
