  1. This is a great passage for teaching on the Gospel and the attributes of God—especially some of those attributes that we cannot understand (the non-human ones).

One of the great lessons that applies strongly today, especially in Western churches, is rekindling our respect and reverence for Christ. Though he made himself man and walked among us, he is still 100% God. I love the tremendous depth showing who God is in this passage, and how who He is so completely beyond our comprehension (outside of time, the Creator of even things that we cannot create).

Then Paul contrasts this to our current state of humanity (alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds), and pulls it all together with the ultimate truth (the Gospel): Christ presents us blameless before God (above reproach), something we could not possibly do ourselves—in any way, ever.

This is pure Gospel. I love it!

  2. I love Colossians! One of my favorite books 🙂 A while ago I started praying over my friends and family verse’s 10-13. Good stuff in there! Lookin forward to this sunday!

I want to hear from you! Let's hear it....ready....GO!!!
