One of my favorite worship songs

…I am speechless, speechless
That’s how you make me feel
Though I’m with you, I am far away and nothing is for real
When I’m with you I am lost for words,
I don’t know what to say
My head’s spinning like a carousel, so silently I pray

Helpless and hopeless, that’s how I feel inside
Nothing’s real, but all is possible if God is on my side
When I’m with you I am in the light where I cannot be found
It’s as though I am standing in the place called Hallowed Ground

Speechless, speechless, that’s how you make me feel
Though I’m with you I am far away and nothing is for real
I’ll go anywhere and do anything just to touch your face
There’s no mountain high I cannot climb
I’m humbled in your grace

Speechless, speechless, that’s how you make me feel
Though I’m with you I am lost for words and nothing is for real
Speechless, speechless…

I have many favorite lines in this song. My favorite of all…”When I’m with you I am in the light where I cannot be found”.  It is so true.  When we are standing in the light of Jesus, ourselves are lost in the brilliance of His glory.  May we find ourselves there all the time.

Of course it sounds great to music.

Can you guess who wrote it?  Take a wild guess.  NO CHEATING!

  1. Great words, but no clue who wrote it, except that they are in love with Jesus Christ.

  2. John Ragsdale??

  3. I was going to guess Jacob Lowery but since the Steele’s chimed in with different guesses, I”m changing my guess…

    I really want to cheat….

  4. Maybe Jason Upton?

  5. Casey, just because the Steeles (Rob and Kathy) say or do something does not mean they “know” anything about their children. 🙂 I almost said Jacob, also, but decided to go another direction.

  6. Chris Tomlin

  7. Casting Crowns

  8. DRUMROLL PLEASE……….

    Michael Jackson.

yes, the world famous, king of Pop. I pray he doesn’t stop here but goes further with the God given talent to lead worship.

    🙂 surprised… aren’t you?

  9. WOW!!! yes I am!!

  10. me and mike actually wrote this together….yep!…
    my 2nd year at Juliart………
    am i lying!???…..YES!!!
    fantastic lyrics!!

  11. This proves there is a God-calling in the heart of every person.

  12. Surprised, Surprised, I thought you did but joke,
If Michael penned these words it proves there is still hope.

I want to hear from you! Let's hear it....ready....GO!!!
