OK, I’ll take a shot at this. The only reason it would not be a good idea is if folks thought we were worshiping a joint. Actually I’m not sure if this terminology is even used today and only somebody from my era would understand. It took a lot of mental debate whether to even post this, but if I am 180 degrees off, I can take it. What say you?
I agree Brother Rob, I am afraid folks would think we were going to roll one and light up. I am so glad our Pastor did not want to have our sign read that way. But I did laugh when I read it.
In my era, Bill’s statement would be applicable. Maybe the church needs someone like Kathy to proofread materials:)
You know, “Joint Worship” would totally work in Austin…tons of old hippies would show up. I’m not sure how well it would go over in San Marcos.
IF IT WOULD BRING JOINT HEADS TO CHURCH
HEY! WHY NOT MORE PEOPLE GOING FARTHER IN CHRIST.
LOL!!!!!
Kathy would have never caught that one. She is way too naive.
Well had to add my 2 cents.
Back in the good ole days the “joint:’ down at the corner was a place where one went to meet up with friends have a rc cola, play a game of pool and just have a little fun.
. yes I know they probably didn`t drink a RC but….
The point is….. the world has changed. same word different meaning. Its up to us, you and I to use the common sence we were given to walk the path the Lord has given us for today.
If we do what we use to do, we will be what we use to be
The change is because we all want a better life.
