Heart Warming Story from PSM
Our church has joined Operation Pray Me Home. A mission to adopt US soldiers, and pray for them and their families while in battle. It has developed into much more for both the soldiers and us.
One of the soldiers lost his life in the battle last month and the host family from PSM was invited to the funeral ceremony. Check out this amazing story from our members: Sylvia and her son, Ryan.
Invocation for Hays County Commissioners Court
Here is the prayer I prayed at Hays county commissioners court today.
“God, we open this meeting today by asking your Divine favor and blessing to be in our midst. Thank you for the elected officials and community that is represented here today. May we have your insight, hindsight and foresight to lead this great county and it’s cities to a higher level. Lord, we pray for rain today. Our land is dry and thirsty and needing your intervention. We pray for these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
Cold Call Evangelism
I’m trying to think if there is a scriptural reference to cold call evangelism.
A “Cold Call” is a term used in sales when you go up to someone or call them and offer (try hard to sell) your product. You don’t know them AND they have expressed NO interest in buying your product.
To my knowledge every conversion in the Bible happened 3 ways:
When watching the scenes of Egypt on television, it breaks my heart to see the turmoil and despair. The temperatures in central Texas right now are lower than they have been in years. Snow is predicted in the forecast. When I arrive at a destination, I run out of my truck and am so thankful for warm shelter. The last few days, I have been so grateful for a country that has so much peace and physical shelter. There are multiple places to find safety. There is not an absence of destruction in America, however, there seems to be places to find shelter when needed.
