Wow, we are already on part 7.  Colossians 3:12-17 (see below)

This passage starts out discussing the ‘heavenly’ things we should be focusing on.  What a great contrast to last week’s ‘earthly’ junk!  These heavenly/Christ-like garments are what we are supposed to ‘put on’.  He speaks of the unity of the body and how love binds everything together in perfect harmony.  He talks of the Word of God and its influence.  He speaks of the power of singing different types of songs.  The passage is finished with the reminder that everything should be done ‘in the name of the Lord Jesus’.  This is a warning that even good stuff can be twisted for our own selfish needs if we are not careful.
