The OPEN Door!

My friend, Pastor Randy Phillips, just returned from an extended visit to Israel.  He said that the tomb of Jesus is the only place that people line up for blocks to see…nothing.  Because the tomb door is open and there is nothing inside the tomb, we are living a victorious life right now.

The open door of the tomb is the focus of our Easter celebration this year.  I will be speaking on the open door and all the implications that it has in our lives.  We will celebrate the open door.  We will invite others to enter the open door by Faith.

Many of us know the scriptures in John where Jesus says that He is “the door” and “the way, the truth, and the life”.  However, there are scriptures sprinkled all over the New Testament proclaiming Him as the open door.

Galatians tells us as Gentiles that we have an ALL-ACCESS pass through the door.  Check out chapter 3:

13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

We walk through the door with FAITH.  That faith in Jesus as Lord, releases power of the Holy Ghost that the gates of hell can not prevail against.

more to come on sunday…

Come on…somebody help me preach up in here!!!!!

  1. Matthew 16:18 is scripture reference to “gates of hell”.

  2. Powerful!!!!!!!!! Thank you,Jesus!!!!

  3. Faith is not some weak or pitiful emotion, but is strong and vigorous confidence built on the fact that God is holy love. And even tho you can not see him and understand what he is doing, you know HIM.
Faith is the supreme effort of your life.
That tomb may be empty now but ” he was there ”
Maintain your intimate relationship with Jesus Christ thruogh the perseverance of faith. as Job said “Though He slay me,yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15)

In this day in age there are so many doors that people “walk” through, only to end up in the same place they where prior. Mankind lives in faith daily, believers in Christ or not. They have faith, that things will maintane, or improve, some even in faith that demise is a certainty. Most have waked through a door, only to realize that it just leads to another room of a mundane exsistence, just getting by.

The difference we must profess is that this door is a door that swings not in the direction of life external, but life internal. For we must have faith that if we open the door, Christ will come in and do a work within us. This door, is a door unto our hearts, our lives, and our spirit. Faith is required more than ever, for we must open ourselves for the possibility of life, not as we know it, but as our Creator intended; life in abundance.

I apologize if I went on a tangent, just an angle I thought of while typing. Doors are really an interesting thing if you think of them, I never really had until now. Sorry….
