Kennady’s Asleep
It is 10:31pm on Sunday night and I am sitting in a very narrow recliner at the Children’s Hospital in Austin, TX. My daughter, Kennady, is getting a sleep study done to see if she has sleep apnea (sp?) or other sleeping problems. As I see her sleep, it amazes me that she has survived this long. She struggles with each breath. I never realized her sleeping problems because we always put her to sleep and leave her in peace.
Before the nurse left the room, he said that her carbon dioxide reading should not get above 53 or they will have to give her “assistance”. Well, it is approaching 70. He called the doctor and they are trying to figure out the best method of treatment.
So, I guess we are introduced to another hurdle in the life and times of Kennady. Just thought I would let you in on it.

We check out at 6am, Monday morning.
In another unrelated note: Diana Brooks was at our 11am service Sunday. On her way back to Fredricksburg, she was in a major accident and was star-flighted to San Antonio. She is in critical condition. Please pray for her and all those involved.
Pastor, you are a track star and so is Kennady. No hurdle is to high because you have your focus in the right place. Blessings!
We love you and your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.We will also be praying for Diana Brooks.
Our prayers are with Kennedy, your family and for Diana Brooks.
Pastor you and family are all ways in my heart and prayers. Will hold Diana close also.
Looking forward to being with all the members this Easter Sunday. What a friend we have in Jesus !!
Pastor how wonderful you phrased it “always put her to sleep and leave her in peace”. If I may speak freely Sir, Kennady has always been in this peace. She is there due to the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ of her family. Most families would have trust in a machine or a doctor, however as a witness to the soverign Glory of God, you can put your daughter to sleep and know she is in peace, in the divine care of her Creator. Hurdle though it may be, it proves to confound the wisdom of this world. Our prayers are indeed with you and your family, and rightly so, they always will be.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. In you, we see a family who truly follows Philippians 4: 6-7 Not to worry about anything to pray for everything. To thank God for all things he has done. We then experience God’s peace. This peace guards our hearts and minds as we live in Jesus Christ. We will keep Diana in our prayers also.
God BLess
Thank you all for your prayers. Deanna is going home to heaven. Please pray for her daughter: Laurel Brooks.
What a wonderful group of supporters our family has! It brings tears to my eyes. Thank you all for being cheerleaders of the greatest little “energizer” there has ever been. You each have such great insight. She is in God’s hands and what better place is there to be. Keep the faith and keep up the good works, momma & poppa.
My thoughts and prayers are with Laurel. What a sad thing to happen! May God be extra close to her & her family.
