Erica Strikes Again

Well, thankfully she didn’t literally strike.  I might be visiting her in jail if that were the case.  Anyway, we drove up to Kennady’s school yesterday to drop her off and there was a police car parked illegally.  He was not just in the handicapped spot but in the stripped, unloading part of the space.  (we require this stripped part since we have a ramp now) So what does she do?  She marches into the school to find the officer.

To make a long story semi-short…he finally walks out of the building and  Erica confronts him on the sidewalk.  She explains the dilemma of daily needing the spot and people are illegally parked there.  Then to come and the people that are supposed to help you are parked in the same spot!  He is embarrassed and promises to help out.

Moral of the story: don’t park illegally in handicapped spaces and don’t mess with Erica!

  1. Speaking the truth to power 🙂

  2. Way to go Erica!!! Sometimes we all need a little reminding of the rules or laws even if we are the ones enforcing them.

  3. joshuasthoughts

All I can say, YOU GO GIRL! (Pastor Girl that is, with all due respect)

  4. You not only takes eggs back from snakes now you are letting the police what the law says. GOOD FOR YOU SISTER PASTOR!

  5. I have never known anyone accuse Erica of timidity or vacillation. Nor do they ever wonder what has on her mind, especially if they are messing with her kids.

  6. IAM SO PROUD OF YOU SISTER PASTOR, A WOMAN AFTER MY OWN HEART.!!
    I KNOW ONE THING ….YOU SCARE ME……..woooow
IAM NOT GOING TO FOOL WITH YOU. ;]

  7. Way to go ” Holy Sister Pastor Steele” ( I think I got that right, from what she told us Friday night)!!!!!! I would NOT want to be on the wrong side of this lady. MOre power to you for standing up to these people who park just where ever they want.

  8. o.k. o.k.
Just to clarify. I did not request anyone call me “holy sister pastor steele”. It was simply “Sister Pastor Steele”(that was a joke in itself as well)…drop the holy thing….pppuuuhhhhllllleeeeaaasssseeee.
The other thing is, that I have been thinking about this whole situation and I really am pretty adamant about defending what is right. Especially when it comes to my kids and of course….eggs.
Anyway, in no way should this project a mean spirit (even though I have said from time to time that I might have a mean streak in me). I simply have been blessed with boldness.
I have many weaknesses and I pray that every day I am made stronger through those weaknesses.
Along with boldness, can occasionally come a foot planted rightly in my own mouth.

  9. Way too go Sister Pastor Steele! You are a Awesome Women!!

  10. Way to go, Sister Pastor Erica! I applauded for using your gift of boldness in a time of need. I wonder how someone else would have handled it? 🙂

  11. Good for you Erica!

I want to hear from you! Let's hear it....ready....GO!!!
